Claire is 6 months old!

It has been a fast flying 6 months! I don't really know what I was trying in this picture w/ the wanna be photo shoot-but she looks precious and that is all that matters :) Claire is doing normal baby stuff: laughing, screeching, cooing, more laughing and smiling. She tries to sit up but slowly leans to one side or just dives face first into her lap. She is digging the baby food. So far she likes sweet potatoes, peas, apples, pears and bananas. Her brothers are pretty crazy about her and I don't even mind them fighting over holding her or sitting by her. Tonight Connor was saying she was "his" baby. I love this age. I just want to have her next to me all the time to enjoy. She is actually laying on my lap now as I type. Should she be in her bed? Yes. However, I once again get the "Mother of the Year" award for chosing what I want over what I should do. Sigh. I love watching her sleep; I used to do this to the boys too.

Messy mouth

Claire had her first solid food this weekend. Since she has been so picky about not taking a bottle I was a little worried, especially when the first couple of tries she spit it right back out. But she is doing better and has had pears and cereal. I think I will try a vegetable next. Isn't this face precious?

Weird Beard

Weird Beard is the name Taylor gave himself when he put the bubbles on his face. I have heard it somewhere else though (a TV show?) but can't figure out where. The boys have been "scared" of the jets in the tub before but when they saw how many bubbles it makes when they are on, they quickly got "unscared" and now this is a bathtime routine to play in the bubbles. I tossed a picture of Claire's bathtime fun because she was feeling left out :) Also as a side note-anyone else have to say "i before e except after c"? I do that with wierd and realize it looks WEIRD and isn't right either. A lot of work just to spell a word correctly-but hey, I did learn something in elementary school! And I am a stickler for spelling words correctly-I will almost ALWAYS notice misspellings-no matter where it is-and trust me I have read many a published book with misspellings.

From the Fort

Todd's family was down for Connor's bday and we snapped a picture of the "cousins". Is anyone surprised that Connor requested to sit on the top of the couch and is sticking his tongue out? Looking forward to the years of entertainment he brings to our family! Life just wouldn't be the same without him :)

Eat a CHEESEBURGER!

I'm pretty sure my 3 year old should not be able to wear my 6 month old's clothes (or want to for that matter but it's Connor so we don't ask questions). Skinny minny.

Circus freaks!

Okay no freaks really. We went to the Murat Shrine circus like we do every year except this year the Walther family joined us. Connor sat still ALMOST the entire time and Clayton entertained us with his dance moves. And the only pictures I took were of the elephant rides. Connor was really excited then really scared and cried when he actually got up there.

Connor is 3!

Connor turned 3 on Friday, March 5th! He had his 3 year check up and is 39 1/2 inches tall (89% tile) and weighs 30 lbs (35% tile). Tall and skinny-like his mommy-ha ha!

Claire 5 months

Our Claire Bear turned 5 months old at the end of February. She is as beautiful as ever. As Connor says "I love you so so much baby"

Saturday Night Fever

Saturday night we had friends over for pizza and play! They have two boys that are close to Taylor and Connor's age so they boys had fun playing. Tricia was Connor's new BFF so he wanted to show off and play with her. The boys got hot playing basketball so they took their shirts off (Connor just wanted to do what everyone else was doing :)) and then ran around like that for a while. It was super cute!
